Why the Welsh flag is not included in the Union Jack?
Union Flag

The Union Flag, popularly known as the Union Jack, is the national flag of the UK. It is the British flag.
It is called the Union Flag because it symbolises the administrative union of the countries of the United Kingdom. It is made up up of the individual Flags of three of the Kingdom's countries all united under one Sovereign - the countries of England, of Scotland and of 'Northern Ireland' (since 1921 only Northern Ireland has been part of the United Kingdom).

The Welsh dragon does not appear on the flag because when the first Union Flag was created in 1606, Wales was already united with England from the 13th century. This meant that Wales a Principality instead of a Kingdom and as such could not be included.

Welfare

Every student in school should have the welfare on health and safety. This include  safety in lessons and safety outside the classroom.

Safety in lessons: Schools add to the health and safety policy to reflect their particular circumstances - so that it covers, for example, what their pupils do in science and P.E lessons.
Schools are also encouraged to use the curriculum to help pupils develop the skills and knowledge to keep themselves safe. You can help by making sure your child understands why it’s important to follow the rules and listen to the teacher.

Safety outside the classroom: Getting out of the classroom from time to time – whether it’s a week away on an educational visit or an hour-long science lesson in the school grounds – is a valuable learning experience. The 'Learning Outside the Classroom Manifesto' was published in 2006 to encourage this type of activity.
Getting out of the classroom can mean pupils and staff facing hazards not present in the classroom - traffic, for example. Risk can never be eliminated entirely, but can be reduced to an acceptable level by good safety management. This enables visits to take place even where potential additional hazards exist.

Students should learn much more the knowedge on health and safety. Our country have the same policy on education. Schools should taech students these knowledge.

Sport and competition

1. What sports are the following trophies associated with?
Answer: The Ashes

Which of the above have Enlgand won in this year?
The Calcutta Cup
2. Name a famous sporting venue associated with these sports:
Answer: Rugby
3.What is the 6 Nations Tournament?
The current 6 Nations Championship is the result of a long historical rugby relationship starting in Britain.
The Five Nations Championship lasted from 1910 until 1931 when France were no longer allowed to play in the tournament due to accusations of professionalism within the French league teams, rugby in these days was strictly an amateur sport. As a result of this things went back as they were and the Home Nations Championships resumed through the period 1932 to 1939 when France were invited to rejoin to once again make it the 5 Nations Championship. Due to the war there was little rugby played until 1946 but the 5 Nations stayed in existence and was played yearly right up until the year 2000 when Italy were allowed to join making the competition what we call today the 6 Nations Championship.

The Royal Family

From the family tree we can find the Queen is Head of State in the United Kingdom. As a constitutional monarch, Her Majesty does not 'rule' the country, but fulfils important ceremonial and formal roles with respect to Government. She is also Fount of Justice, Head of the Armed Forces and has important relationships with the established Churches of England and Scotland. Read more about The Queen's State roles in the UK and Crown dependencies in this section.

As Head of State, The Queen must remain politically neutral. Her Majesty and her family never vote or stand for election to any position, political or otherwise. This enables them to provide continuity and focus for national unity.

Members of the Royal Family support The Queen in her many State and national duties, as well as carrying out important work in the areas of public and charitable service, and helping to strengthen national unity and stability.

Even though the Royal Family help people do many things, but there are also some people think that the Royal Family is not improtant for people's life. Every year, people must pay the tax for the Royal Family. They think it's very expensive. In my opoin, the Royal Family bring many benefits for people.

Crime and justice (Burglary)

Burglary means the crime of illegally entering a building and stealing things. In my opoin, burglary can happend in our life. so we must care about that in our life, and completes the protective measures.
Taking just a few steps can make a big difference in keeping your home safe from burglary. There are some tips:
  • lock your doors and windows every time you leave the house, even when you’re just out in the garden

  • hide all keys, including car keys, out of sight

  • install a visual burglar alarm

  • install good outside lighting

  • leave radios or lights in your house on a timer

  • make sure the fences around your garden are in good condition

  • store valuable items (including passports, driving licences and bank statements) out of view

  • hide cash and wallets away

  • secure bikes at home by locking them to an immoveable object inside a locked shed or garage

  • keep ladders and tools stored away; don't leave them outside where they could be used to break into your home

  • In most burglaries, the criminals broke into the house or flat through the door, either by forcing the lock or kicking it in. So make sure your doors are strong and secure.
If you live in a building that has a shared entrance, be careful about ‘buzzing’ people in or holding the door open for a stranger when you walk in or out of your building.

Never leave a spare key in a convenient hiding place, such as under a flowerpot or doormat, or behind a loose brick. Burglars know to look there. They will also check the garage or shed for spare keys to get into your flat or house.

These suggestions will give you a help when you meet the burglary.
