From the media we know that there are two important policy on education in the UK. The first one is Next year’s teaching grant for universities in England will be cut by 6%, In the annual letter to the Higher Education Funding Council for England ministers said the teaching grant for 2011/12 would be cut from £4.9bn to £4.6bn. The following year, when the new system of university financing is brought in, the grant is estimated to be cut to £3.8bn, but is expected to be offset by higher student tuition fees.
The second is about the education fees of higher education. The changes to higher education funding will see tuition fees rise from £3,290 a year to up to £9,000 with all the money paid upfront to universities through student loans. But in wales, there is no this policy.

Parliament and Government
Last week we have learned many knowledge about the Parliament and the government. It include three problemes, they are hdoes someone become a member of parliament, what is the cabinet and why has this year been significant in British politics.
For the first question, the term "the goverment" help the monarch to run government departments or to take on some other responsibilities, such as managing the activities of Parliament. "The government" has various ranks, ministers and departments. All ministers come from the ranks of Parliament. on the second question, as we know that, the term 'the government' has a more limited meaning. It refers only to the most powerful of these politicians, namely the Prime minister and the other members of the cabinet. there are about twenty people in the cabinet and most of them are the heads of the government departments.

British history
I will introduce Queen Elizabeth I. The daughter of King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn, Queen Elizabeth 1 reigned England from 1558–1603. Her reign was marked by several plots to overthrow her, the execution of Mary Queen of Scots (1587), the defeat of the Spanish Armada (1588), and domestic prosperity and literary achievement. Elizabeth liked hunting and enjoyed court masques (entertainment of poetry, songs and dancing). She was very well-educated and was fluent in six languages. Elizabeth made England Protestant again and her will was the law. Elizabeth I's rule is remembered as the Golden Age of English history. Under her rule, England advanced in such areas as foreign trade, literature, and the arts. During Elizabeth's reign the age of began with explorers such as claiming new lands for England and introducing new materials and foods. so i think she is a very famous woman.
